Destiny damage calculator V1.2.3 Share. V1.2.3 (Added most of the Weapon Modifiers for Special Weapons and Machine Guns) (Added enemy Level to the Attack modifier calculation) Although fully-functional and productive of correct results, these PvP Atk values are only approximate. While all the details of Destiny 2's end game are still to be confirmed with our collective experiences, what we know from previous Destiny experience is that once you hit 260 Power, the only way.
OK,
So my small mind is having trouble working out how the DPS and damage is working.
In my head, I see my weapon base damage, RPM and magazine size and assume damage bonuses stack on top of that.
Here's an example:
My Lightweight M4 has 18.1K damage per bullet at a RPM of 850. That means that my base damage per second should be 256416.67. (18,100*850/60).
Now, when I add Firearms to my build, by definition I should be getting some sort of base damage bonus. Let's say I get 50% of Firearms added as a bonus, so if I have 6000 Firearms, I get 3000 added to the base damage per bullet, so now I get a base DPS increase to 20.1K at 850 RPM bringing my base DPS to 284750.
At 850 RPM I am shooting 14 bullets per second and after my base damage has been calculated, each bullet is now subject to the various bonuses that I have.
So, let's say I have a 25% Crit Hit Chance with 100% Crit Hit Damage rolled. Each bullet I fire has 25% to do 100% more damage, right? This should be calculated as the bullet is fired.
Now, the question I have is, where do the weapon talents fit into this equation. I am assuming that they hit the base damage total BEFORE CHC and CHD get factored in.
One of the reasons I am asking this is I am having a hard time understanding how my MP5 (16.7K, 800 RPM, 222667 base DPS) is stronger than my M4 (18.1K, 850 RPM, 256416 base DPS) that have the same talents on, but CHC is the deciding factor? How can that be if my base damage is already higher by 30K?
Now in PVP, we get Armor up to a 35% Damage Mitigation, so with my M4 I should have a DPS against you of 185087 (284750*0.65) without bonuses.
Am I correct here?
The math does not add up. Please help.
